The western portion of Saguaro National Park, the Tucson Mountain District contains both amazing scenery and interesting historical artifacts. Take a hike up Valley View Overlook Trail to see incredible vistas of the surrounding desert and mountains. Head to the Signal Hill Picnic Area where petroglyphs from hundreds upon hundreds of years ago are still visible, etched into the rock. This part of the national park is located west of Tucson, past Tucson Mountain Park.
Open daily 7:00 a.m. - sunset.
Vehicle entry fee: $10 for 7-day pass.
