Description:

A sanctuary for the extraordinary plant and animal life of the Sonoran Desert, the Saguaro National Park - Rincon Mountain District is commonly used for day trips. Both hikers and bicyclists can use its trails, although bicyclists do have limited access to some areas. Top trails in the national park include the 5.6-mile Hope Camp Trail and the 2-mile Mica View Loop, which runs through the cactus forest. Situated on the eastern edge of the city, the Rincon Mountain District is one of the two areas that comprise the whole national park; the other located about 20 miles west and known as the Tucson Mountain District.
