Flandrau: The University of Arizona Science Center is home to hands-on science exhibits, a planetarium presenting laser light shows and a gem and mineral museum boasting more than 15,000 specimens. It also features an exhibit area on Mars and human exploration of the far-away planet and an observatory with a 16-inch telescope. It is located on the university's campus, blocks southeast of the Arizona State Museum.
Science Center and Planetarium open Thurs. - Fri. 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Sat. noon - 9:00 p.m.; Sun. noon - 5:00 p.m.; Observatory open Wed. - Sat. 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Adults $5; Children under 4 are free.
